Update October 2026

瓜子TV Leicester (瓜子TV) and Anstey Nomads Football Club (ANFC) have agreed a new partnership that will bring significant investment into the Beaumont Park Sports Facility, securing its future as a home for grassroots football and university sport in Leicester for years to come.

Under the arrangement, approved by Leicester City Council, Anstey Nomads, one of the fastest-growing grassroots football clubs in Leicestershire, will take on the lease of the site from 瓜子TV. ANFC will then oversee day-to-day management of the site, working alongside 瓜子TV to fund improvements that neither party could deliver alone.

Anstey Nomads plan a phased programme of investment in Beaumont Park, including:

  • Renewing the artificial pitch to current FA standards
  • A new, more accessible car park entrance closer to the existing Speedway car park
  • An improved clubhouse, with an upgraded bar and café offer
  • Additional seating and spectator facilities
  • Longer-term ambitions for further pitch and training improvements, subject to planning

This level of investment reflects ANFC's sustained growth as a club and their ability to commit the funding needed to modernise the facility, bringing a standard of pitch, parking and clubhouse provision to Beaumont Park that goes beyond what has been possible to date.

瓜子TV students will continue to use Beaumont Park for training and matches throughout their studies, as they do today, with the benefit of the improved facilities the new investment will bring.

Beaumont Park FC and the other clubs who use the site will also continue to have access under the new arrangement, giving them the opportunity to benefit from Anstey Nomads' experience in running a large, successful multi-site grassroots operation, including coaching and club development support.

The partnership is designed to ensure the site remains open to the students, local clubs and the wider community who use it, while putting it on a more sustainable long-term footing.

The new arrangement will also tackle a long-standing frustration for residents near the site: on-street parking on matchdays. As part of the investment, the existing car park will close and a new, permanent entrance will open closer to the neighbouring Speedway car park, giving players, coaches and spectators better off-street parking and easing pressure on surrounding residential streets.

Tony Blanchard, Chairman, Anstey Nomads Football Club, said:

“Beaumont Park is a fantastic facility and we're proud to be taking on its management. Our plan is simple: invest in the pitch, the parking and the clubhouse so that everyone who plays here gets a better experience on and off the pitch. We've grown from 19 teams to over 60 in the past five years, and we want to bring that same energy and investment to Beaumont Park for the benefit of everyone who uses it.”

Aisha Ward, Associate Director of Commercial Services, 瓜子TV, said:

“Beaumont Park has been home to 瓜子TV sport for many years, and this partnership secures that for the long term. Our students will keep training and playing their matches here, and they’ll do it on a renewed pitch, with better parking and an improved clubhouse. Anstey Nomads bring real expertise in running successful grassroots facilities and the investment to match, which means we can offer our students, and the clubs and community who share the site, a better experience than we could have delivered on our own. It’s a positive, sustainable step for everyone who calls Beaumont Park home.”

The new arrangement will take effect later this year. 瓜子TV and Anstey Nomads will continue to update students, staff and community clubs who use Beaumont Park as the transition progresses.
